Michael B. Jordan, who plays ‘Human Torch’ in Josh Trank’s upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR adaptation, recently discussed the film with ABC News. A conversation which quickly turned to the F4’s new garb.
As for the new suits, he said, "It's a new look. We are all in containment suits. ... It's gritty. It's a gritty film."
"The costume process definitely took some time to get in and out of that thing, especially since I was bulking up," he said. "It was a little more snug during filming. We got through it man. It was a process, but we did it. It was hard work," he added.

I have no idea what this means. It sounds like he’s implying that the F4’s standard/expected body-tight spandex 'uniforms' are being supplanted by something more functional and bulky - perhaps something like Batman armor, or somesuch? Just stabbing in the dark, here. What happens when they’re not in containment suits? Are the containment suits meant to keep the F4's powers ‘in check’ by extrapolation? But I though…
