Hercules Endorses Tonight's Almost-Last Installment Of FX's Vampire Saga THE STRAIN!!

I am – Hercules!!

The Strain 1.12 FAQ

What’s it called?
“Last Rites.”

Who’s responsible?
Teleplay by Carlton Cuse (“Lost”) and David Weddle & Bradley Thompson (“Battlestar Galactica”); directed by Peter Weller.

What says FX?
“Dutch returns with a plan to broadcast Eph’s warning about the vampiric plague. However, they face a new threat when Eichhorst launches his own attack against the pawn shop. Palmer receives a special visitor, and Gus gears up for the oncoming fight but discovers there’s another mysterious factor involved.”

Who is “Palmer” again?
The rich dying guy who engineered the decimation of the Internet.

Who is “Gus” again?
The Latino thug whose only setting is “pissed off.”

Who is “Dutch” again?
The hot British blonde who turned off the Internet.

Oh! Does the guy from the Stoneheart Group who shooed her away help her turn the Internet back on this week?
No. The Internet remains broken at episode’s end.

So Chalky is still partnered with Crazy Singing Guy?
What?

How does it start?
“I’ve kept my part of the agreement,” begs Palmer.

The big news?
Not every key character survives this episode.

What else is FX not telling us?
This episode is much better than last week’s (no cigarette run for Zack tonight). We learn via postwar flashback where Abraham procured his live, wormy heart. And invisotext on! The SWAT vampires are back!

What’s great?
“Misfits Quarterly.” Dutch’s plan. The general quantity of forward motion.

What’s not so great?
Young Abraham’s eyebrows. And though she sounds like she knows what she’s talking about, I question Dutch’s timing.

How does it end, spoiler boy?
An old man laughs in the rain.

10 p.m. Sunday. FX.
