The proposed “Walking Dead” spinoff is set far from Georgia, and starts at the beginning of the Zompocalypse while Rick Grimes was slumbering peacefully in the hospital. And now we have vague descriptions of the series’ six main survivors, thanks to TV Line.
THE CABRERAS!
1) SINGLE DAD. Sean Cabrera is described as a good man in his early forties. Probably ready to bone Nancy Tomkins (see below). Probably nothing like Rick Grimes.
2) TEEN SON. Cody Cabrera is described as smart and angry. May be hiding a need to bone one of the Tomkins kids (see below). Probably nothing like Carl Grimes.
THE TOMKINSES!
1) SINGLE MOM. Thirtysomething Nancy Tomkins has an edge and two kids.
2) TEEN SON 2. Nick Tomkins is “screwed up.” Probably nothing like Lizzie.
3) TEEN DAUGHTER. Ashley Tomkins is ambitious. Probably wants to bone Cody Cabrera. Probably nothing like Andrea.
THE CHAPMAN WOMAN!
1) GROUP ELDER. Andrea Chapman, a fortysomething dwelling at city’s outskirts, is a former flower child getting over a bad marriage. Probably nothing like Carol.
Dave Erickson, who wrote six episodes of “Canterbury’s Law” (starring Julianna Margulies as a lawyer!), 17 episodes of “Sons of Anarchy” and two episodes of AMC’s “Low Winter Sun,” will serve as the “Walking Dead” spinoff’s chief creative force alongside Robert Kirkman, a “Walking Dead” writer who also created the comic book on which the series is based.
AMC earlier this month greenlit the pilot, which is expected to feature far fewer Englishmen faking hillbilly accents.
Season five of “The Walking Dead” launches Oct. 12.
