The DC Comics version of Lucifer began life in the pages of Neil Gaiman’s “Sandman” but eventually found his way into his own comic.
The proposed Fox series, from “Californication” creator Tom Kapinos, will follow Lucifer as he resigns as Ruler of Hell to run a swanky Los Angeles piano bar.
Like Greg Berlanti, who wrote the “Green Lantern” movie and created the CW’s “Arrow” and “Flash,” Kapinos is a veteran of the writing staff of “Dawson’s Creek.”
Fox launches another DC Comics project, “Gotham,” on Sept. 22.
