In conjunction with the announcement that THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN remake would be playing Fantastic Fest in a couple of weeks, a trailer has been released.
Based on a terrifying true story, The Town That Dreaded Sundown picks up sixty-five years after a masked serial killer terrorized the small town of Texarkana, when the "moonlight murders” begin again. Is it a copycat or something even more sinister? A lonely high school girl, with dark secrets of her own, may be the key to catching the murderer.
The film is being produced by Jason Blum and American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy, and is the feature debut of AHS director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. The script was written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. It is set for release on October 16th, so add it to your Halloween viewing calendar. And look for early word when it screens at Fantastic Fest, September 18th - 25th!
