Orlando Bloom to Return to the High Seas in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5????

Hey guys! Horrorella here...

Orlando Bloom has indicated that he might be back for more pirate action in the upcoming PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5, according to The Daily Mail.

There have certainly been some discussions about it and I’m open to it

He didn't give any plot details, and since the film isn't due to come out until 2017, it is reasonable to assume they are still in the scripting stages and that any potential role in the new story hasn't been solidified yet. And while his character's arc seemingly reached its conclusion with AT WORLD'S END, Will Turner is still out there captaining his ship across the Seven Seas, so it is relatively reasonable to think that he and Jack Sparrow might cross paths again one day.

He went on to discuss how much he had loved working with both co-star Johnny Depp and director Gore Verbinski on the first three films.

That whole experience working with Johnny (Depp) and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really amazing for me....I had a great time working with Johnny, one of the reasons I jumped at the opportunity (to be in the first Pirates) was because Johnny was involved.

The film series seemed to have a strong impact on all involved, with director Gore Verbinski reteaming with Johnny Depp for another adventure flick with THE LONE RANGER, and Depp not being able to pull himself away from the Sparrow character, having signed on for his 5th installment in the series. Not to mention launching the career of Keira Knightley (who has stated that she will not be returning for another film).

This would mark the second time that Bloom has returned to a series in recent years, having already reprised the role of Legolas in Peter Jackson's THE HOBBIT films. What do you guys think? Would you like to see Bloom return to the franchise? Would more Turner/Sparrow adventures be what the series needs to relcaim its initial level of excitement and popularity?
