Per THR, Benedict Cumberbatch will voice villainous tiger badass Shere Khan in the Andy Serkis directed JUNGLE BOOK movie which is coming together over at WB.
This picture marks Serkis’ directrorial debut, although he’s stepped behind the camera before when helming Second Unit on the HOBBIT trilogy.
Serkis’ JUNGLE BOOK shouldn’t be confused with Jon Favreau’s adaptation of the property, whose talent line-up has previously been announced HERE, HERE, and HERE.
Serkis’ JUNGLE BOOK is targeting an October 2016 release, while Favreau’s is set to arrive roughly one year earlier (October 9, 2015).
