Hey guys! Horrorella here...
In KELLY & CAL, Juliette Lewis will let the world in an an age-old truth - that there are few problems that cannot be at least marginally solved by coloring your hair an exciting shade of blue.
Here, she plays a musician-turned-suburban-mommy who is struggling to find her bearings in her new life. She forms an unlikely friendship with a wheelchair-bound teenager (Johnny Weston), who also happens to be not only a drummer, but the most tolerable person in her quaint, oh-so-perfect neighborhood.
Not an entirely new story, but Lewis is certainly an interesting addition. This is a different kind of role for her, and I'm hoping she brings just the right amount of rebellious energy to sell it and to make this character into something special.
The film is the directorial debut of Jen McGowan, from a script by Amy Lowe Starbin. It hits VOD and theaters on September 5th.
What do you guys think?
