Tonight brings the biggest episode yet for Mapleton police chief Kevin Garvey, and for Mapleton’s Guilty Remnant leader Patti Levin. That dog in the chief’s backyard offers a huge hint as to what’s to come. “The Leftovers” is awesome.

HoH Derrick nominated Donny and Christine, who won the season’s final Battle of the Block, thereby saving themselves and deposing Derrick.
HoH Frankie nominated fellow Bomb Squadder Caleb and fellow Detonator Cody, both of whom currently remain on the block.
Frankie won the Power of Veto. Frankie’s current plan is to rescue Caleb, replace Caleb with Frankie’s showmance Zach, and send Zach into Julie’s waiting arms (making Frankie slightly less of a target going forward).
But wait! Zach could be back next week because one of the four jury members – Hayden, Jocasta, Nicole and presumably Zach – will be re-entering the game. I may be remembering incorrectly, but I think it’s always the last person voted out who gets to re-enter the game. (The people who re-enter the game always seem to get voted out again quickly though, usually within two weeks of re-entry if I’m not mistaken.
Loved how the rock star vampire bested the badass “cleaner” on last week’s “Strain.”

Discovery’s Shark Week programming has been dominating cable all week. I’ve no idea why sharks are always so big on cable. To paraphrase Jimmy Kimmel: Is there really so much new stuff about sharks since last year’s Shark Week?
