Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. One of the highlights of this year's San Diego Comic-Con was Legendary's tease of Godzilla 2 which came in the form of a mysterious video that showed grainy footage of more monsters to come, including the silhouettes of Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah, and an announcement of the sequel getting underway as soon as director Gareth Edwards finishes up his Star Wars spin-off flick.
Now, according to The Wrap, we have a better idea of when to expect the King of Monsters... and it's a bit of a wait. Godzilla 2 is scheduled to hit screens June 8th, 2018.
We know Legendary and Universal are also developing a King Kong-centric film called Skull Island, which will likely find its way to screen before Godzilla 2. Makes me wonder when the two will end up meeting up on the big screen. Surely they will, right? Right?
