Tonight we chat up the amazing Tim Minear, who has written (and sometimes directed) episodes of:
“Firefly”
“Angel”
“Wonderfalls”
“Terriers”
“Dollhouse”
“The X-Files”
“Lois & Clark”
“Strange World”
“The Inside”
“Drive”
“The Chicago Code” and
“American Horror Story”
A lot of Minear’s shows made my yearly top-top lists over the last 14 years. “The Inside,” which starred Adam Baldwin and J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Green Girl Rachel Nichols and was kind of Fox’s decade-earlier version of NBC’s “Hannibal,” made my 2005 top-ten, and I just discovered all its 13 episodes (even the ones that never aired) are now available free and commercial-free on YouTube. Check them all out here.
“Nerd World Report With Hop & Herc” airs live Saturday 8:05 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific Time. No matter where you are you can listen to the show LIVE by hitting the “Listen Live” button at kernradio.com.
Best of all, you, constant reader, can join this very nerdy conversation.
The toll-free call-in line is:

Call in drunk, as I always do, but watch your language. This is not a podcast. This monster goes out over the air on all 50,000 watts of Southern California’s KERN-AM.
