Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Sometimes the transition into adulthood can be hard. It’s full of complicated problems, like responsibilities, jobs, paying your own bills, figuring out what you want out of life, etc. All of this is way more difficult if you’re Jason Bateman’s character in THE LONGEST WEEK.
This new rom-com sees him playing the role of a rich boy whose parents finally cut him off at the tender age of 40. Aimless and broke (like the rest of us), he moves in with his friend Dylan (Billy Crudup) in an attempt to pull things together and gain some perspective. Their relationship becomes increasingly strained, when they both start crushing on the same girl (Olivia Wilde).
It’s a great cast, but the trailer doesn’t seem to offer much in the way of an engaging story. The silver lining is that Jenny Slate shows up near the end of the trailer to echo pretty much exactly what I had been thinking the entire time, so maybe there is hope.
