Eva Green in Talks for Tim Burton's MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN!

Hey guys! Horrorella here.

Eva Green has been involved in a number of procjects lately, including playing the most badass character in 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE, Showtime's PENNY DREADFUL, and the upcoming SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. She last worked with Tim Burton on his adaptation of DARK SHADOWS, but word is, they may be getting ready to team up again.

According to Variety, she is circling a role in Burton's new project - MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN. Burton is set to helm an adaptation of the book written by Ranson Riggs, which follows a boy who journeys to a mysterious island and must project a group of orphans with very special powers Green is in talks to play Miss Peregrine herself, the woman who oversees the orphanage and cares for the children.

Green would be the first cast member announced, and since production is expected to begin in February, more cast members should be named before too terribly long. And given Burton's history of casting actors with whom he has worked before, don't be surprised if you see a few familiar faces.

From the description, it sounds like this is a story that could be up Burton's alley. His work has been pretty hit-and-miss of late, but if this could provide him with the opportunity to tell an interesting story with characters that the audience can connect with, I'm all for it.

What do you guys think?
