Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Holy shit this looks awesome! J.K. Simmons is one hell of a character actor. He has had fantstic supporting roles in a variety of films, including SPIDER-MAN and JUNO, and he has an impressive resume as a voice actor, but I really really can't wait to see him in this new film. As caustic as some of his past characters have been, they don't hold a candle to the guy he plays here.
WHIPLASH follows a drummer (Miles Teller) who aspires to be a great musician. Simmons plays an instructor at a music academy who uses his knowledge, skills and experience to mold and shape his young students into something astounding - or to completely break them in the process. Mr. Holland he is definitely not.
WHIPLASH opens October 10th. What do you guys think?
