“The Leftovers” – never the feel-good hit of the summer – is a particularly big bag of sad tonight, but the ending got a big laugh out of me. I continue to quite enjoy this series. The sixth episode, which shows us more of the U.S. Department Of Sudden Disappearance (which employs Rev. Matt’s cup-destroying sister Nora Durst) is my favorite of the next three.

Kevin retrieves a surprise detainee from a neighboring police station, and receives unexpected visitors at home. The Guilty Remnant put its stamp on the holiday season. Amber and Jocasta won the Battle of the Block, making Cody the sole HoH.
Jocosta won the Power of Veto.
It’s now up to Cody to decide who to put up next to Britanny. (Will Cody nominate Caleb, his rival for Amber's affections?)

FX’s “The Strain” started exactly where TNT’s “The Last Ship” did.
TNT announced this week that the next season of “Falling Skies” will be its last.
Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” and “Masters of Sex” are not doing “True Blood” business, let alone “Game of Thrones” business.
ABC's "Wipeout" and "America's Funniest Home Videos" wre looking curiously strong last Sunday.
