2015 is getting even more packed! Paramount in talks to distribute Martin Scorsese's passion project SILENCE!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with yet another title to jam into the epic 2015 that is brewing. Not only do we get our geek movies (new Star Wars, Avengers, Batman v Superman, Terminator, Mad Max, etc), but we're also getting a brand new Martin Scorsese movie, a passion project no less. That is if Paramount doesn't drop the ball as they finish up their negotiations to distribute, of course.

Right now Paramount is close to locking in distribution and is eyeballing November 2015. It shouldn't be much of a surprise since Paramount has backed the last few Marty movies, including the recent multi-Academy Award nominated and super fucking awesome The Wolf of Wall Street.

The film is called Silence and Paramount's deal would me much like Wolf where they don't fund the film, but put it into theaters. The funding is already in place and cast has already been announced... and an impressive cast it is, too. Liam Neeson, Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Ken Watanabe are attached so far.

Scorsese has long wanted to adapt Shusaku Endo's book about Jesuits in 16th Century Japan who have a bit of a tough time, to say the least. Jay Cocks (Gangs of New York) has penned the adaptation and shooting is scheduled to begin soon.

So, yay! More potential awesomeness in 2015! Bring it on!
