A trailer for Angelina Jolie's second directorial effort has been released, promising a harrowing and inspirational tale. The film is UNBROKEN, and it will tell the true story of Louis Zamperini.
If you are unfamiliar with Zamperini's story, it is so incredible that when you hear it, you will probably be tempted to call bullshit. But the most amazing thing about all of it is that it is all true. He was an Olympic athlete, a World War II soldier who survived a plane crash and waited for rescue ona raft, fended off sharks, and then spent time in a Japanese POW camp, all to emerge a hero on the other side.
It's a Hollywood story to the highest degree, and yet it actually happened. Jack O'Connell stars as Zamperini, and the supporting cast includes Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, Takamasa Ishihara, and Finn Wittrock. The script was written by William Nicholson, Richard LaGravenese, and Joel and Ethan Coen
UNBROKEN opens for the Holiday season on December 25th.
