Earlier today, the above image popped up on Instagram with the following caption

It took a minute, but JurassicWorld.org confirmed that the picture does indeed feature an animatronic from the film, probably at the Legacy Effects studios in L.A. That "muzzle" around his face (with the Crest of Hyrule on it for some reason) is probably not a prop, as some have concluded, but rather a clamp to keep the raptor upright while the VFX guys make tweaks, adjustments, etc.
So don't get too excited, this isn't evidence that they're shooting the script where trained raptor-humans wear lasers on their heads and kill for the government.
Still, the practical effects on the JP movies have been consistently amazing, and it's nice to see them carrying that tradition on in this latest sequel/update. Those raptors have been scary little fuckers all through this series, and I can't wait to see them play their "clever girl" tactics on some more unsuspecting victims.
