So Channing Tatum has already wowed us with his dance moves, his comedic timing and his abs. What's next? Now it seems he is set to blow us away with his dramatic skills as well.
Granted, this is just a teaser, but between this and the crazy-acclaim that FOXCATCHER got at Cannes, this film is quickly becoming one of my most-anticipated of the fall.
Based on a true story, and directed by Bennet Miller (MONEYBALL) FOXCATCHER focuses on the dreams of American wrestlers Mark (Channing Tatum) and Dave (Mark Ruffalo) Schultz, who are taken under the wing of eccentric billionaire John du Pont (Steve Carell) to train for Olympic glory.
I honestly don't know what is more intense - Tatum's crazy, almost robotic winning rhetoric and determination, or Steve Carell's evil evil sneering. Both performances look incredible, and are already being talked about for awards contention.
FOXCATCHER opens November 14th.
