Roadside Attractions has released a trailer for THE SKELETON TWINS, starring Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader. We are used to seeing these talents in more absurd comedic roles, but it looks like they are going to be taking on something a bit more restrained and character-driven in this new film.
The pair will play estranged siblings who are forced to reconnect after not speaking for ten years and find themselves working through some old issues. The film was directed by Craig Johnson (TRUE ADOLESCENTS), from a script he co-wrote with Mark Heyman (BLACK SWAN).
Even though it's a bit of a different project for both Wiig and Hader, they both seem to be brining their A-game. Plus, I can't wait to see the full version of the Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now scene.
THE SKELETON TWINS opens on September 19th.
