The idea of strangers entering your home is terrifying, which is one of the reasons home invasion can work so well. But equally unsettling is the idea that a deranged maniac can worm his way into your life, and you only realize the magnitude of his crazy when it's too late.
That seems to be the set-up in this new film from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett, the duo behind the ever-awesome YOU'RE NEXT.
In THE GUEST, an ex-soldier unexpectedly visits the family of a fallen comerad, claiming to have known their soldier son, and to have been present when he died. This brings the grieving family some much-needed solace, and they welcome the stranger into their home. From there, I'm guessing things probably get a little weird. Check out the trailer:
THE GUEST doesn't have an official release date yet, but we're expecting it to hit later this fall.
