The more footage I see of THE PURGE: ANARCHY, the more I am looking forward to it. I enjoyed THE PURGE - I thought it was a fun little home invasion film, and even though it wore its influences on its sleeve, it was built off an interesting premise. It was the premise that hooked me more than anything, and I couldn’t help but fixate on that as I left the theater. Just how much they didn’t cover and how many directions you could take the concept of this one night of legalized crime if you just dove in.
THE PURGE: ANARCHY looks like it might be offering a lot of the interesting components that its predecessor was missing, as it takes its story out of the safe confines of Rich People Land and out onto the streets.
