Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Idris Elba's slate has been slammed lately. THE WIRE actor has had roles in THOR: THE DARK WORLD, PACIFIC RIM, and MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM, all within the past year. This new film, NO GOOD DEED, from director Sam Miller (who worked with Elba on LUTHOR), sees the actor taking a bit of a different turn.
Here, he seems to be stepping away from his heroic track record and diving into a role that is much more sinister. NO GOOD DEED sees Elba taking on the role of an escaped convict who forces his way into the home of a woman (Taraji P. Henson) and her young daughter.
It looks like it could be a pretty solid thriller, between Elba's incredibly intimidating presance in this role, and Henson's reaction when she walks into her daughter's room to find that this stranger has beaten her there (badass). They look like they could good on-screen match, with Elba hell-bent on getting what he wants, and Henson equally hell-bent on protecting her family.
NO GOOD DEED will open September 12th.
What do you guys think?
