The trailer for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's newest film, BIRDMAN has debuted, immediately sealing the film at the top of my "Holy Crap I Can't Wait to See This" list.
The film stars Michael Keaton as an aging actor, known for an iconic role as a superhero, trying to stage his big come-back on Broadway.
Inarritu, known for such works as 21 GRAMS, AMORRES PERROS and BABEL, seems to be branching out a bit here and incorporating more of a fantastic element than we are used to seeing from him, which really looks interesting, and seems to feed nicely into the film's darkly comedic vibe.
This trailer only teases what will be in store with the film, but from what we see here, it looks like we have a chance to see Michael Keaton going full-on Michael Keaton.
All I have to say its it's been too damn long...
BIRDMAN opens on October 17th. What do you guys think?
