What the &#$% is ZOMBIES & SHARKS?

Greetings, all. It’s Ambush Bug with some low budget, home video, and independent horror news—bite size, just how you zombies like it!

Well, tie me kangaroo down! Mick is back in this exclusive new deleted clip from WOLF CREEK 2!

I enjoyed the hell out of WOLF CREEK 2, the sequel to the Australian horror film from 2005. John Jarratt returns as Mick Taylor and he’s not the only one who is back. Writer/director Greg Mclean returns as well.

The action horror film is described as; The outback once more becomes a place of horror as another unwitting tourist becomes the prey for crazed, serial-killing pig-shooter Mick Taylor (John Jarratt).

Look for WOLF CREEK 2 on DVD/BluRay on June 24th! Here’s the bloody deleted clip!

And the bloomin’ trailer!

Drafthouse Films has a terrifying new film coming called NOTHING BAD CAN HAPPEN. Inspired by true events, this film from Germany looks to be nothing shy of relentless. I so much want to check it out.

Here’s the official synopsis; Inspired by atrocious true events, Nothing Bad Can Happen follows Tore, a young lost soul involved with an underground Christian punk movement who falls in with a dysfunctional family curious to test his seemingly unwavering faith. After a chance encounter helping Benno, a stranded driver, and managing to help start his car again in what appears to be a miracle, Tore is invited back to Benno's home and becomes friendly with him, his wife and two kids. Before long, Tore moves in and gradually becomes part of the family. However, Benno can’t resist playing a cruel game, designed to challenge Tore’s beliefs. As his trials become more and more extreme, Tore finds his capacity for love and resilience pushed to its limits, and beyond.

The film gets its theatrical release on June 27th! Check out the trailer below! Can’t wait to see this one…

Check out this Behind the Scenes clip from SMOTHERED!

I’ll be reviewing SMOTHERED very soon on AICN HORROR. The film unites Kane Hodder (Jason X), Bill Moseley (The Devil's Rejects, Repo! The Genetic Opera), Don Shanks (Halloween 5, I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer), R.A Mihailoff (Leatherface : Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Pumpkinhead 2), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Brea Grant (Halloween II), John Kassir (‘The Crypt Keeper’) and is directed by the one and only John Schneider.

Here’s the short and sweet official synopsis; Five iconic horror stars join forces to haunt a trailer park, but the tables turn rather quickly...

The film is currently touring festivals. Check out the Behind the Scenes clip below. Find out more about SMOTHERED here.

On your left! Look out for this clip from THE HUMAN RACE!

Reminiscent of ROLLERBALL, DEATHRACE, and DEATHSPORT and surely inspired by THE HUNGER GAMES come THE HUMAN RACE which mixes adventure, our love of sports, and science fiction together in a blender and hits frappe.

The film distributed from XLRator Media is described as; Eighty strangers from all walks of life are ripped out of their daily lives and forced to participate in a brutal race to the death. The rules are simple; follow the arrows or you will die, step on the grass and you will die, get lapped twice and you will die. Only one participant will survive. Race or die. There can only be one winner, but who will survive and for what purpose?

I’m looking forward to this one. It’s coming to theaters, On Demand, and iTunes on June 13th. Here’s the clip!

And here’s the trailer!

DELIVERY: THE BEAST WITHIN delivers two new clips!

I recently interviewed the director of DELIVERY: THE BEAST WITHIN, a new mocumentary that starts out as a Lifetime style film, but takes a dark turn as the pregnancy starts to suggest the baby inside might just be a demon from hell. Check out my interview with filmmaker Adam Schindler and Brian Netto here.

Here’s the official synopsis; Told through the show's un-aired footage and interviews with friends, family and production members, DELIVERY: THE BEAST WITHIN tells the story of Kyle and Rachel Massy, a young couple who agree to document their first pregnancy for a family-oriented reality show. As the camera continues to capture strange events, Rachel begins to believe that a malevolent spirit has possessed their unborn child.

Here’s an exclusive clip entitled “Alastor”;

And another clip called “I’m Concerned About Her”;

And here’s the trailer for the film that opens in select theaters May 30th and will be available on May 27th On Demand!

TOE TAG RIOT - Zombie Punks vs. The Westboro Baptist Church needs a little Kickstart!

If you have a few extra coins or bills in your pocket, friend of AICN COMICS/AICN HORROR Matt Miner has a new Kickstarter page worth checking out and possibly investing in.

The comic is described as Told in a tongue-in-cheek style that can best be described as a comical orgy of blood and guts, the story follows TOE TAG RIOT, a mid 2000s street punk band who are cursed with temporary recurring zombification that transforms them into rotting undead whenever they perform their music. Meant to destroy their career, the woman who cursed them clearly understands nothing because Toe Tag Riot's new monster-punk look only propels the band into punk rock stardom. Finding that the transformation back into regular, filthy, punk rockers is taking longer and longer every time, the members of Toe Tag Riot go on a last cross-country tour in pursuit of the cure to their affliction, but being the ethical sometimes-zombies that they are, the band sticks to slaughtering only the worst of what humanity breeds: the homophobes of ONE MILLION MOMS, sexist date rapist DUDEBROS, and racist SKINHEADS, all on a path to an explosive showdown with the “God Hates Fags” hatemongers known as THE WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH. Combining elements of classic horror like Night of the Living Dead with a comedic monster edge a'la a GWAR live concert, TOE TAG RIOT is being described as “a satirical book for anyone who loves FUN and hates JERKS like the Westboro Baptist Church.

The comic is written by Matt Miner (LIBERATOR, OCCUPY COMICS, LIBERATOR/EARTH CRISIS), with art by Sean Von Gorman (PAWN SHOP, FUBAR, OCCUPY COMICS), and colors by John Rauch (INVINCIBLE, VENOM, THE DARKNESS). Follow this link to check out the Kickstarter page and if you like what you see, give a little!

Here’s the pitch video!
