Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Daniel Radcliffe seems ready to take on just about any acting challenge since he stepped away from the Harry Potter films. And it isn't until now that we have seen him tackle a romantic comedy.
In WHAT IF, he plays a guy who meets and makes an instant connection with a girl (Zoe Kazan). Any hope of a relationship is squashed by the fact that she already has a boyfriend (Rafe Spall), so the two agree to just a simple friendship, which seems to turn out not-so-simple after all.
The premise seems pretty standard, but it's hard to argue against the cast, which all seem to have a great chemistry. Adam Driver's scenes, in particular, look promising. And the film did get positive attention when it played the festival circuit under the title THE F WORD. Not to mention the fact that it is directed by Michael Dowse, who also directed GOON, one of the best, funniest and most unconventional comedies in recent memory.
WHAT IF opens August 1st. What do you guys think?
