“Last Comic Standing,” back from a four-year hiatus, has ditched the open auditions with Buck Star and simply invited 100 comics to duke it out for $250,000.
As with “24,” its last episode before this year aired in 2010. Lavell Crawford, who played Saul Goodman henchman Huell on “Breaking Bad,” got a career boost from the series, as did fellow contestants Amy Schumer, Ralphie May, Doug Benson, Anthony Jeselnik, Kathleen Madigan, Jim Norton, Esther Ku, Iliza Shlesinger, Alonzo Bodden, Rachel Feinstein, Gary Gulman, Ron Heffron, Eddie Pepitone, Todd Glass, Dan Naturman, April Macie, Bonnie McFarlane and Rob Cantrell.
