Sony has released the first full trailer for Woody Allen's upcoming comedy, MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT. The film stars Colin Firth as a man sent to the South of France to debunk claims that a young spiritualist (Emma Stone) is able to make contact with the spirit world. Naturally, as he begins spending time with her, he finds himself beginning to question if she just might be the real deal (and of course, falling for her in the process).
And while the tone of the film is looking pretty close to his 2011 MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, the combined charm of Emma Stone, the spiritualist angle, the imagery, the 1920's setting and plenty of fantastic hats has me not really caring about any similarities. This is one that I'm looking forward to seeing when it opens on July 25th.
