With its season finale, CBS powerhouse “NCIS” rose to score a rare tie with NBC megahit “The Voice” last week. Both shows tied TNT’s Clippers/Thunder playoff.
The excellent final 8 p.m. “Agents of SHIELD” ended its season with an uptick to 2.0. Next season it gets out of the way of “The Voice” and “NCIS” and migrates to the rather less competitive 9 p.m. slot.
With “New Girl” on hiatus, it was a tougher Tuesday than usual for Fox! Steve Carell’s improv gameshow was dead last among Tuesday’s English-language broadcast programming. Even the CW shows and the “Glee” finale, which hit another new personal low, did slightly better.
“The Goldbergs” is moving to Wednesdays next fall where it won’t drain the “SHIELD” audience away from “Trophy Wife” and “Wife Swap” anymore. “Trophy Wife” wasn’t renewed. “Wife Swap” is a reality show and may not be capable of dying.
