This Friday begins Memorial Day weekend, and for Houston it's also the Commicpalooza convention, for movies, comics, television, gaming, and cosplay. Every year Comicpalooza gets bigger and better, and this year proves it - we have guest coming, including most of the cast of AGENTS OF SHIELD! Hellboy's Mike Mignola! At least three Doctor Whos! THE CROW's creator James O'Barr! James Marsters! Cary Elwes! And a lot more, including a big announcement on Monday of an "American legend" who will be attending, Who could it be? I have my suspicions that it's a name that comic fans will squee with Beatlemaniaesque geek joy.
I'll be hosting some panels at Comicpalooza, including one with Lando Calrissian himself, Billy Dee Williams, and I'm very excited, nervous, and happy to be a part of it. There's going to be a ton of vendors, games, and events, and I'l going to try to cover as much as I can. Also helping me at Comicpalooza will be AICN Tabletop's Abstruse, reporting on any gaming news that comes through the convention.
Tickets are still available at the website at www.comicpalooza.com, and there's also a scheduling app that you can get on Google Play and iTunes for your phone for all your needs. There is also a gaming schedule at www.comicpaloozagames.com, and there will be many hours of great gaming throughout the convention.
