IMAX has issued this new reel in which GODZILLA helmer Gareth Edwards discussing seeing the new film in IMAX. The picture opens…tonight in many regions. Seems so weird to be saying this after waiting for a new Big G movie for so very long.
I really do believe movies - especially of this ilk - play far better in IMAX. This said I've lately noted more widely varied presentation qualities between IMAX screens than ever before - most notably between the licensed screens one might find at AMC, for example. Hopefully IMAX will assign a team to check / command higher consistency so the brand doesn’t become too dodgy or diluted?
