The great Martin Freeman - so very awesome as Watson in Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss’ SHERLOCK - has let slip an intriguing little tidbit.
Seems Mr. Freeman has indicated that, while he’s still not sure when Season/Series 4 of SHERLOCK will actually film…
“Mark Gatiss may beat me up, but there is an idea for this one-off special that’s such a good idea, and as I was listening to it I thought ‘we’ve just got to do this’. And I don’t know when we are going to be able to do it, unfortunately.”
He added: “It’s a fantastic, really mouth-watering idea. But I really don’t know when we are going to get to do it.”
…says THIS piece over at Cultbox, which reveals that Freeman mentioned this possibility during a discussion on Alan Carr: CHATTY MAN.
Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Moffat and Gatiss are all secured for Season/Series 4 and 5 of the inconsistent but generally excellent series of telefilms - although many parties involved are juggling external commitments, so getting everyone on the same page at the same time is proving challenging.
