Chloe Grace Moretz stars in IF I STAY, a film based on the novel of the same name by Gayle Forman. Moretz plays a teenager who lands in a coma after a tragic car crash that killed the rest of her family. Her consciousness, however, is well aware of what is going on, and she finds herself facing a difficult choice – let go of it all and slip away, or wake back up and begin the difficult process of grieving, coping and eventually figuring out a way to move on.
This film looks like it could be a great double-bill with THE FAULT IN OUR STARS later this summer, in that they are both teen-centered tear-jerkers with strong female leads (Moretz is a great addition to any project) that will probably break the entire audience and leave puddles of sniveling messes in the theater aisles.
