Maestro unveils a description of the MONSTERS INC teaser that'll be on the TOY STORY deluxe dvd
Hey folks, I got news about one of the geekiest most coolest projects a coming up. MONSTERS INC.... It's Pixar. Now to any of you people saying... 'We have seen this before' GO HUMP A SOCK! You have not. Just like I hadn't seen Toy Story or Toy Story 2 or A Bug's Life before. Pixar is a magical land of geniuses making the greatest films on Earth. And for all you anti-Disney folks... just think of it like this. DISNEY DISTRIBUTES THEIR FILMS... DISNEY DOESN'T MAKE THEM. That's why their movies rule, and Disney's feel like corporate engineered pablum... albeit beautifully animated pablum. PIXAR creates joy and soul and beauty and wonder. If you don't see that, you are an ugly person without a soul. Now go away.
Dear Harry,
A little bird just flew in through the window and sang a little ditty
about Pixar's "Monster Inc." teaser that will be included on the upcoming
Toy Story deluxe DVD. This has been held under wraps by the mouse's paws.
The teaser itself contains a single shot of two CG characters that burst out
of a kid's bedroom closet. One large furry mammoth like something out of
"Where the Wild Things Are" provides the jocular, oafish-funnyman (voice by
John Goodman), while the other is an eyeball with arms and legs (voice
supplied by Oscar funnyman and perennial, Billy "Mr. Saturday Night"
Crystal). They quickly realize that the bedroom is empty and that they have
come to the wrong address. Hilarity ensues.
The textures and character movement are again pushing that CG
envelope. It looks as though Pixar has done it again. Another hit
follow-up to Toy Story and a better step than Bug's Life.
Cinematically yours,
"Maestro"

anyway, i dont really find much more depth in a pixr film than a disney film. to me it seems taht they are both coming from the same place. ie. humour-wise, comercial-wise, moral-wise and even the same voice actors!! (ie, wayne knight was in both of last years tarzan and toy story 2, whilst john goodman is diong this thing and emperors new groove). oh and whilst i am on the subject, has anyone noticed disney/pixars fixation with seinfeld? think about it. newman in toy story 2 and tarzan, puddy in emperors new groove and toy story cartoon, elaine in bugs life, george in hunchback. in fact there were 2 in the one movie!! can you guess which one?? ok, i cant keep you in suspense!! it is TOY STORY 2!! it had newman and georges mother in it...ANYWAY, the seinfeld similarity was not my point for writing this. oh yeah. i really was not THAT impressed with the toy stories. i really did not find it original except for the animation (the one credit you cannot deny to modern disney animation). i also noticed that they both relied on puns for their humour, which i have thought of as a pretty cheap way of getting a laugh. i surely enjoy watching pixar movies, and look forward to this one, but i just dont see wahat is so superb about them..then again, i also did not really think nightmare before christmas was that great either (it was WAY too unbalanced. did that annoy anyone else?) baff

BUSCEMI, BUSCEMI, BUSCEMI!!!

That movie gets points for having Howie Mandel (pre-Bobby's World). But it loses those points for Fred Savage.
