Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Roman Polanski's new film, VENUS IN FUR, is the story of a theater director who reluctanly agrees to let one final actress audition for his latest production. The result is a sexual tug-of-war between the two, as the director becomes more and more obsessed with his new star. Just watch the trailer. The horrible horrible voiceover tells you all about it.
The film stars Emmanuelle Seinger and Mathieu Amalaric, and is an adaptation of the play by David Ives. This continues an interest in stage-to-screen adaptations for Polanski, whose last film, CARNAGE was also based on an award-winning play.
The trailer gives off a strange vibe - erotic drama at times, quirky comedy at others. It's a little difficult to gage what will be in store on this one.
What do you guys think?
VENUS IN FUR opens on June 20th.
