Hey guys! Horrorella here...
A gorgeous trailer has been released for the U.S. opening of IDA, a new film from director Pawel Pawlikowski.
Ida is the story of Anna, a young orphan girl who was raised in a convent in Poland and is preparing to take her vows. Before she joins the sisterhood, she is encouraged by one of the nuns to visit her only remaining living relative. Discovering your past is not always easy, as Anna quickly learns. Her family history is much more complex that she ever imagined, and without realizing it, she has started walking down a long and difficult road, challenging everything she thought she knew about herself.
The trailer highlights the beautifully minimal, almost haunting cinematography. The film has been well-received during festival play, and is set to open on May 2nd.
