Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Exciting news for horror fans! The new film from Lucky McKee (MAY, THE WOMAN) and Chris Sivertson (I KNOW WHO KILLED ME) has been given a poster (thanks to Fangoria), as well as a release date.
The co-writers/directors are teaming back up to remake a little-known, hard to find film that they first made together back in 2001.
Whether collaborating or flying solo, McKee is always an interesting voice in horror, and his stories rarely go the route you expect them to take - which has always been one of the things that has drawn me to his work.
So I can't wait to see what he and Sivertson have in store us with this new film, which is being billed as a horror comedy that has the potential to go some fantastically dark places:
Teenage outsider Maddy is keeping some dark secrets and holding a serious grudge against the captain of the Blackfoot High football team. When Maddy joins the school’s elite and powerful cheerleading squad, she convinces her new friends to help inflict her revenge. After a late-night party goes awry, their plans take an unexpected turn for the worst and all of the girls die. A sinister, supernatural power intervenes and the girls mysteriously appear at school the next day with a killer new look…and some unusual new appetites.
The film will hit VOD on May 8th, and will open theatrically on June 13th.
