Longtime collaborators Will Forte (“Clone High,” “Saturday Night Live,” “MacGruber”) and Phil Lord & Chris Miller (“Clone High,” “21 Jump Street,” “The Lego Movie”) will be reteaming for “The Last Man On Earth,” a comedy that follows the last man on Earth.
Forte played Abraham Lincoln in both “Clone High” and “The Lego Movie,” both directed by Lord & Miller.
Fox just ordered “Last Man” as a series we’ll be seeing about a year from now.
Forte -- whose long screenwriter resume includes stints with “The Late Show With David Letterman,” “The MTV Movie Awards,” “Action,” “Third Rock From The Sun,” and “That ‘70s Show,” as well as movies “The Brothers Solomon” and “MacGruber” – will both write and star in the series.
Forte currently stars opposite Bruce Dern in the Oscar-nominated “Nebraska.”
As the episode above attests, “Clone High” was hilarious.
