The Wrap is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe and Dane DeHaan are attached to co-star in a new film for KILL YOUR DARLINGS director John Krokidas.
COLLEGE REPUBLICANS, a Black List script written by Wes Jones, will tell the story of a young Karl Rove (DeHaan) and the dirty campaign he ran in 1973 for national College Republican Chairman. Radcliffe will play Rove's friend and campaign manager Lee Atwater. The two apparently take a rather interesting road trip as they attempt to garner support for Rove's candidacy.
The Wrap notes that the story delves into serious politics, while also being a "light-hearted buddy comedy." So it sounds like it won't be as serious as the team's first effort. While we're on the subject, I'm excited to see this group back together again. Radcliffe and DeHaan had fantastic chemistry in KILL YOUR DARLINGS (along with the entire cast). And while Atwater and Rove will naturally be drastically different characters from Ginsberg and Carr, it will be exciting to see this pair take on the roles.
