Papa Vinyard here, now here's a little somethin' for ya...
In anticipation of the confirmed Super Bowl trailer for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, we have a teaser for that spot that's totally long enough to serve as a spot in it's own right. We see bits of the new major players, including Dane DeHaan, Jamie Foxx, and a glimpse of Rhino, but the ending hints heavily that this will, indeed, be the film where Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy bites it. Ending the tease with that long shot of her falling with Spidey, matched with some comments from Emma Stone about how they're following "Gwen's story as close to the comic as possible", makes me think that they're throwing us for a loop, and will do something far less predictable than they're letting on (like Shane Black did with the Mandarin), but that's just my theory. The teaser hints that more will be revealed on Super Bowl Sunday, but come on. It's not like they'd show her fall out of his grasp in the TV spot, right?
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 will either kill or save Gwen Stacy on May 2nd.
