If you're looking for a fun, easy, not too serious action flick, 3 DAYS TO KILL might be the thing.
All Kevin Costner, career spy, wants to do is spend some well-earned, quality time with his estranged wife (Connie Nielson) and daughter (Hailee Steinfeld). He's been so busy with the spy game the past few years, that he wasn't really around to be the father that he had hoped to be. And now that he finds himself suddenly ill, he wants to take the time that he has left and use it to make things right. Until super-sexy-badass Amber Heard shows up and offers him an experimental treatment that might save his life, in exchange for three days of contract killing. Seems like a good deal.
This new trailer (via Premiere) is really pushing the Hallmark-style sentimentality, as opposed to the first trailer, which spent more time highlighting the action and the comedic moments. This film was directed by McG (from a script by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak), so it could either wind up being a fun ride or a total bust. I had a good time with CHARLIE'S ANGELS, but have been trying to forget that TERMINATOR SALVATION ever happened.
3 DAYS TO KILL opens on February 21st. What do you guys think?
