Check Out Wolverine's Costume From X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

ComingSoon notes that Studio Cine Live has posted the newest cover of their magazine, which reveals Wolverine’s garb from the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.  This offers a slightly fully sense on the outfit glimpsed briefly in the trailer above.

Although it’s kinda hard to see the costume clearly behind all those graphics, I’ll confess that Bale’s Batsuit was the first thing that popped to mind.  Is this a fair characterization?  Presumably we’ll see some better shots sooner than later - as promotion for the film which opens May 23 will shortly swing into full gear.

Hugh Jackman recently hinted that he may not appear as his iconic character in projects beyond DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (details HERE).  A star posturing for a bigger payout (EW reports that his contract is up for re-negotiation post X-MEN: DOFP)?  Or…has the time simply come to look for a re-cast?

I’m betting on the former, for several reasons:  1) The James Mangold directed WOLVERINE movie which released over the Summer pulled down well over $400 million dollars - rendering it the second biggest X-MEN movie ever behind X-MEN: THE LAST STAND(!?!?), thus there will be significant motivation to  see Jackman continue in the role; 2)  James Mangold is already at work forging a follow-up to that film; and 3) (and perhaps less significantly) Bryan Singer is already in place to follow-up DAYS OF FUTURE PAST with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE - which could conceivably involve his character once more.

I’d bet we’ll be seeing Jackman in the role for a while longer, which is a lovely thing as he plays its so very well.  But…for sake of discussion…if not Jackman, who?
