Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It's always a special event when we get to see the first images from a Christopher Nolan movie. Say what you will about the man, but he's one of the last few big filmmakers that are holding on to the old school cinematic look that in many ways defines what movies are in my brain.
The teaser trailer for Interstellar is great at being just that: A teaser with gorgeous cinematography from Let the Right One In's Hoyte Van Hoytema (his regular go-to Wally Pfister was off making his directorial debut, Transendence, with Johnny Depp).
The trailer sets up the outer space setting for the story without showing it, which is impressive for any publicity on a film like this, even a year-in-advance teaser trailer.
So give it a look below and prepare to have year-long blue balls.
