Ridley Scott to produce a new adaptation of Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Looks like Ridley Scott isn't slowing down. That dude works his ass off, doesn't he? Now, he's not directing this thing, but it looks like he, Simon Kinberg and Fox are prepping a remake (or re-adaptation) of Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, per Variety.

Now this is early days and no screenwriters are announced yet, but as a fan of these Whodunnit style films, I'd love to see them make a comeback. In previous decades these sorts of films were used as excuses to gather some of the best actors and actresses of the era in one giant ensemble and it'd be pretty great to see something like that pop up again. You have the semi-recent Oceans 11 films, I guess, but it's still not the same thing.

There's no guarantee this one will ever happen, but obviously Fox is invested enough to let it be known they're wanting to make this happen, so we'll see what the next couple of years looks like.

Thoughts?
