Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It was rumored a while back that Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke was in the running (as was the fantastically talented Brie Larson) for the role of Sarah Connor in the new Terminator film from Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures.
She joins another Clarke (Jason) who is more than likely playing John Connor. If you're scratching your head at the age difference, word is the plot is about a Terminator (likely to be once again played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) sent to protect young Sarah Connor as she transitions from childhood to adulthood, according to THR.
Not quite sure how that all shakes out with previous films' already convoluted twisty turny time travel lines of continuity... it already makes my head hurt, but Annapurna behind a Terminator film still has me excited.
Clarke is fantastic on Game of Thrones and I think she'll make a great Sarah Connor regardless of the rest of the flick. Alan Taylor did direct some Game of Thrones as well, so we know he works well with her.
