Hey Yo, Draven here.
There were some rumors from Bleeding Cool that James Rhodes, a.k.a. War Machine/Iron Patriot (Don Cheadle) was going to have a role in THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, after sitting the first one out. With his decent sized role in IRON MAN THREE, that isn’t really surprising. What is a little surprising is that our old friend, Drew McWeeny at HitFix, is reporting that it is going to be a “key role in the conflict with Ultron that is the main focus of the sequel.”
I know the most popular theory going around right now is that Tony Stark is probably going to be the one who ends up creating Ultron (taking the role from Hank Pym in the comics), and Ultron might even end up being an evil Jarvis. This would certainly seem to back that up as it seems like Stark’s world is going to be the focus of at least the beginning of the sequel.
Drew had some other really great bits in his report that might be considered spoilery, so if you are so inclined go check it out. One thing is for sure though, the second AVENGERS film is going to be MASSIVE, for better or worse.
