LIFE OF PI Scribe David Magee to Pen New NARNIA Film!

Hey guys! Horrorella here...

It looks like the next NARNIA film has found its writer. After a shake-up at Walden Media, development of future installments of the franchise was taken over by the Mark Gordon Company. Deadline announced today that they have brought FINDING NEVERLAND and LIFE OF PI writer David Magee aboard to pen the latest chapter, THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE SILVER CHAIR.

This is the first book of the series to leave the Pevensie children behind and focus on a largely new cast of characters, with Eustace Scrubb (introduced in VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER) returning to the land of Narnia.

Here's the plot synopsis, via Amazon:

Narnia . . . where giants wreak havoc . . . where evil weaves a spell . . . where enchantment rules.

Through dangers untold and caverns deep and dark, a noble band of friends is sent to rescue a prince held captive. But their mission to Underland brings them face-to-face with an evil more beautiful and more deadly than they ever expected.

Says Magee:

“I have always loved The Chronicles Of Narnia and I endlessly imagined myself finding my own passage into Narnia someday...All these years later, I’m getting to fulfill that wish just a little bit by writing the film adaptation of The Silver Chair and could not be more excited about it.”
