Sundance says of “Serge and Toni,” tonight’s excellent fifth episode of Sundance’s French zombie series “The Returned”:
The returned gradually come out into the open but are unable to resume normal lives. Camille is rejected and Julie begins to question herself. Meanwhile, the serial killer strives to keep his murderous impulses under control.
What is Sundance not telling us?
* “They were so scared they preferred drowning.”
* The episode starts seven years earlier as we revisit the attack on Catwoman Julie.
* We learn why Julie survived that attack.
