A trailer has arrived for Sergio Castellitto's romantic drama, TWICE BORN.
Based on the book by Margaret Mazzantini, the story focuses on Gemma (Penelope Cruz), an Italian woman who fell in love with an American photographer (Emile Hirsch) during the Bosnian War in the 1990's. Sixteen years later, she returns to Sarajevo with their son, attempting to finally confront her past and reveal to her son the truth about his father.
It looks as though the story will jump back and forth between the love story and the present day storyline of Gemma and her teenage son, allowing for the two stories to weave together, as opposed to a more linear approach. The film costars Adnan Haskovic, Saadet Aksoy, Pietro Castellitto, Luca De Filippo, Jane Birkin, Sergio Castellitto, Mira Furlan, and Jovan Diviak.
TWICE BORN will hit theaters and VOD on December 6th.
