The cast of Colin Trevorrow‘s JURASSIC WORLD continues to grow. We knew that Ty Simpkins (IRON MAN 3) and Nick Robinson (KINGS OF SUMMER) had been added, but now we have an additional confirmation, as well as a new rumor to discuss.
Earlier this summer, we heard that Bryce Dallas Howard was reportedly in talks for one of the lead roles. She spoke with USA Today earlier this week, and confirmed that she would, indeed, be part of the project:
"They're relaunching the Jurassic Park franchise, so I'll be chasing dinosaurs. That's going to happen next year."
The new rumor is that Jason Schwartzman (RUSHMORE, SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD) could be in talks to go up against the dinosaurs as well, according to Hypable. No world on the nature of the nature of the role, but hopefully additional details will be released soon. I think Schwartzman could play a solid protagonist, but personally, I think it would be more fun if he was eyeing the role of a douchey scientist or park employee.
